Frequently asked Questions
What does a memorial cost?
The price of a memorial depends on many factors such as granite origin, dimensions, artwork and craftsmanship. In addition, your cemetery may have permit fees and will require a concrete foundation.
Wolfe Granite will prepare a fair quote without obligation, that includes all costs, based on the many options available. We work closely with each family to design a distinctive memorial that meets your wishes and your budget. We offer a payment plan and accept Visa, Discover and Mastercard.
How long does a memorial order take?
Designing a memorial is often an emotional part of the grieving process and should be taken at your own pace. Once a design has been agreed upon and an order is placed, you will receive a full-sized drawing for your approval or modifications in about 3 weeks. Upon approval, the manufacturing and shipping process is approximately 6-8 weeks, with some imports taking longer. Once we receive the memorial, we schedule setting in your cemetery as soon as possible. A custom memorial does take time, however selecting a memorial in stock can reduce completion time.
Why should I purchase a memorial from Wolfe Granite instead of my funeral home?
Many funeral homes have added memorials to their services. Funeral Directors are trained to provide funeral services, while Wolfe Granite specializes in, and has extensive knowledge and experience with memorialization and handling your memorial purchase from design to setting. We do not just sell from a catalog but work with each family to design a unique memorial tribute to their loved one. It would be our privilege to advise and assist your family.
I do not live in the area, do I have to travel to your office?
We are more than happy to work with you via phone, fax or email, or arrange an appointment at your convenience.
A word about purchasing a memorial online.
The internet is a great tool for research, but who will accept delivery of over 1/4 ton of granite? Who knows your cemetery's regulations and coordinates your purchase from design to cemetery placement?
A memorial is a very personal, specialized, one-time purchase that will last forever and should be a source of comfort and peace of mind. Working face to face with a local, reliable and reputable business that will take the time to show you examples of their work and answer all or your questions is preferable. An experienced monument dealer is the most qualified to assist you.
